The Ninety-Nines is the international organization of women pilots that promotes advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight.Established in 1929 by 99 women pilots, the members of The Ninety-Nines, Inc., International Organization of Women Pilots, are represented in all areas of aviation today. And, to quote Amelia, fly “for the fun of it!”
The Arabian section of the Ninety-Nines is the fastest growing section over-sea. Under the dynamic input of Alia Twal, Governor of the Arabian section, the number of members has quadruple in just two years, to reach today more than 80 members.
Challenges faced by female pilots in this part of the world are in many aspects comparable to those faced by the 99 pionneers that set up the Association hundred years ago.
It creates this amazing sisterhood and strong friendship amongst our members.
