"I got my private pilots license in 1974 and the rest within a year and a half.
I became a CFI and worked in Central California until I was hired as a pilot for TWA in 1978.
A year later I was furloughed, did lots of different kinds of flying and was hired at Continental airlines in 1983.
I retired in 2015 as a B787 Capt. with about 26,000 hrs.
I met my husband Todd in ground school for Continental and we've been married for over 30 years. We have 2 kids, Alexander is a lawyer in Chicago and Olivia has a degree in winemaking and is currently working in a small winery in California.
My husband's father and sister are also pilots but no one in my family flew. I joined the 99s in 1977 so that I could fly in the last Power Puff derby .
